Reliable sources indicate that AICC has approached Padi Uday Reddy, a trailblazer in the Internet TV and OTT industry, urging him to contest from the Huzurabad constituency.
In the middle of last year, PCC president Revanth Reddy approached Uday Reddy with an offer to join the Congress and run for parliamentary seat. However, due to the uncertain situation in the Huzurabad constituency, they are now attempting to persuade him to run as an MLA from Huzurabad.
Padi Uday Reddy, a prominent industrialist from Telangana, comes from a distinguished political family. His grandfather, the late Sudhakar Reddy, was not only a renowned Congress leader but also had close ties to the PV Narasimha Rao and Chokka Rao families. Sudhakar Reddy was a visionary leader who pioneered the development of modern villages in the 1960s.
Furthermore, Uday Reddy, who completed his primary education in Warangal, is a highly accomplished entrepreneur with an impressive educational background, having studied at a prestigious Delhi College of Engineering.
Over the past 15 years, he has dedicated himself to providing free computer education to children in villages, offering scholarships to many students, and promoting rural employment and women's empowerment.
Given this background, the Congress party is seeing a formidable candidate to challenge KTR in him.
Padi Uday Reddy has amassed a successful track record, having worked in prominent corporate companies like Siemens and Nortel across more than 50 countries. As the founder of the leading company Yupp TV, he has established himself as a prosperous entrepreneur.
With Padi Uday Reddy's education, impeccable reputation, political lineage, and entrepreneurial achievements, the Congress party stands to gain significant support in Karimnagar and Warangal districts.
Nevertheless, there are murmurs that Uday Reddy has not yet made a decision. However, the people of the Huzurabad constituency regard him as an upright individual with a sterling reputation, particularly due to his extensive service throughout the constituency during the COVID-19 period. If he decides to run, he is expected to achieve a resounding victory.
Considering his family's image in Hujurabad and Veenavanka village, his potential candidacy would deal a major blow to the BJP and BRS.
