Whenever there was a talk of early elections for the Telangana state assembly once again, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had been denying such reports.
He told the reporters at a press conference a few days ago that the circumstances in 2018 were different which forced him to take such a decision of going to the polls early.
But now, there are no such conditions.
However, analysts say KCR is very unpredictable man and so, there is no surprise that he can take the decision on dissolving the state assembly this time too.
The analysts say there are various reasons to believe the talk. One: he is nurturing the ambition of playing a crucial role in the national politics and has already started making efforts in that direction.
So, he will declare his son K T Rama Rao as the chief ministerial candidate and go to the polls early, so that KTR would get a full five-year term to rule the state.
Secondly, he has realised that there is a growing discontent among the people about his rule and before this anti-incumbency increases, it is better to go for the elections.
Thirdly, the BJP is gradually gaining strength in the BJP and the latest outcome of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur, in which the BJP is establishing clear leads, will definitely improve the prospects of the saffron party in Telangana.
So, before the BJP gains the strength in Telangana, it is better to go for the polls.
Since the Congress is completely demoralised, the TRS will have definite edge in the state, if early polls are held.
KCR has also begun appeasing various sections of the society, which are unhappy with his rule.
The allotment of Rs 17,500 crore to Dalit Bandhu and announcement of the filling up of job vacancies in the state indicate that KCR wants to take advantage of such schemes to return to power for the third time.
All these factors are a clear indication to the possibility of KCR going in for early elections, say analysts.
