Congress MLC Teenmaar Mallanna, known for his controversial statements and use of unparliamentary language in his speeches, has been stirring up trouble to gain attention from the media, the public, and political power centers.
Recently, he made derogatory remarks insulting the Reddy community.
When asked why he harbors animosity towards the Reddy community, an insider stated, "He overthinks and overestimates his own importance. He believes that his rebellion against KCR was the key factor in BRS's defeat in the last election. He expects to be given a top position and recognition by the ruling Congress party, but he feels ignored by Revanth Reddy. He is attempting to turn this into a caste issue, trying to corner Reddy leaders in Congress by claiming they are sidelining BC community leaders like him."
Regardless of the situation, if Mallanna truly wishes to gain recognition, there are appropriate ways to approach it.
Recently, he has been playing the BC card and has made derogatory comments about his own party leaders who are not from the BC community, using offensive language such as, "You drink the urine of our BCs... You 'Donga'... 'Kodukullara.'"
"If Chief Minister Revanth Reddy continues to tolerate this individual without taking disciplinary action, his leadership itself will come into question. Provoking community hatred or using offensive language against party leaders is a clear case of indiscipline. Before his words lead to unnecessary societal disturbances, he needs to be restrained," said a Congress member.
Surprisingly, no Reddy community leaders or Congress leaders from the ruling front have commented on Teenmaar Mallanna's actions so far.
