TRS has scored 35.81% (12,04,167) vote share and BJP made 35.56% (11,95,711) in the GHMC elections. This proves to be an outstanding performance by BJP from 10.37% of 2016 GHMC elections to 35.56% of 2020 elections. Now BJP is almost equal to that of TRS.
Followed by this, the MIM has scored 18.76% vote share while Congress and TDP were left with single digit 6.67% and 1.66% respectively.
TDP scoring a total number of 55,662 votes is a clear indication that the majority of Andhra settlers have shifted their loyalties to other parties from TDP.
Congress is still crippled in the city though it made its presence felt at least by winning two seats out of 150.
MIM has a standard base in Hyderabad and that is not shattered anywhere but intact. It is only the TRS that has suffered a huge dent.
Many attribute this result to the Hyderabad voter's sudden anti-incumbency mood due to the worst floods in the month of October.
