The nine victims who were stranded in the Munneru flood and awaited rescue for 15 hours were finally saved by a common man, not by the Disaster Relief Force of Telangana.
"Where will the Telangana CM hide his face? His Disaster Relief Force could do nothing to save the nine victims who were stranded in the Munneru flood. Even the NDRF failed. But a JCB driver showed his bravery and saved all of them like a hero. What is the purpose of the timid Disaster Relief Force? Useless government and a failed CM," said a citizen reacting to the incident.
The JCB driver's name is Subhani, a physically challenged person from Haryana.
"If I die, it's okay. Only one life will be lost. If I survive, I will come back with all nine lives," Subhani said, taking a daring step like a hero to save the nine people from the flood.
He made his own calculation, confronted the danger and rescued all 9 lives successfully.
A physically challenged person managed to perform this brave act, while the police and the Disaster Relief Force of Telangana couldn't rescue them, citing that it was too risky.
"Even Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy hoped the floodwaters would recede to save them, but he didn't care about our lives," said one of the rescued victims.
Many are demanding that Subhani be given the National Gallantry Award.
