There are already half-a-dozen parties in Telangana, apart from three major political forces – Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
These parties including AIMIM, YSR Telangana Party of Sharmila, Bahujan Samaj Party of R S Praveen Kumar, Aam Admi Party, Telangana Jana Samithi and Maha Jana Samithi.
Now, it appears to be time for yet another regional party in the state. This is going to be floated by popular journalist-activist-politician Chintapandu Naveen alias Teenmaar Mallanna, who has been attacking the TRS government strongly for the last three years.
A few months ago, Teenmaar Mallanna joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi, after he was hounded by the Telangana police in various cases in the wake of his attack on the TRS following his defeat in the MLC elections from graduates’ constituency in Warangal.
He also campaigned vigorously for former minister and BJP leader Eatala Rajender in the by-elections to Huzurabad assembly seat. However, it appears he did not get the due recognition in the BJP and was sidelined.
Now, vexed with the BJP leaders’ attitude, Mallanna announced that he would launch a new political party shortly.
He addressed a meeting of his followers and said he would gun for the head of the TRS leaders, who are looting the state.
He said he had named his organisation as Mallanna Team-7200, stating that he had identified, in all, 7,200 Velama TRS leaders who are looting the country. They are sucking the blood of the people, denying them basic rights in healthcare, education and social justice.
Stating that his team was far better than the BJP, Mallanna said the BJP has failed to project an alternative to the TRS in the state.
“I will not step into the BJP office at all hereafter,” he said.
Mallanna said after campaigning by touring every village in the state, he would organise a huge public meeting at Parade Grounds with 10 lakh people a year and half later.
“We shall fight against the goondaism in the state. And we are not going to be afraid of anybody. Despite obstacles, we shall achieve our goal,” he said.
He also declared that he would donate all his assets to the government and fight for the social justice.
