After a long time, Vemuri Radhakrishna, managing director of Andhra Jyothy daily and ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel, is going to be back soon with his favourite programme – Open Heart with RK, wherein he would have a face-to-face interaction with celebrities and political personalities.
The first person to be featured in the latest season of Open Heart with RK is going to be Y S Sharmila, sister of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Sharmila, who recently floated a new political party in Telangana in the name of YSR Telangana Party, despite strong objections from her brother, is definitely an interesting subject for Radhakrishna, who doesn’t lose an opportunity to spit venom at Jagan and his party.
But it is surprising as to why Sharmila chose to attend the interaction with Radhakrishna, despite knowing fully well that he has utter contempt with YSR family.
In fact, when Andhra Jyothy broke the story about Sharmila launching a new party by differing with her brother, Sharmila gave a rejoinder denying differences in the family.
Still, she chose to be the guest at Radhakrishna’s programme, which will definitely upset the YSR fans.
“How can she talk to Radhakrishna, who attacks her family regularly in his weekly column Kotha Paluku in Andhra Jyothy?” a YSRC leader asked.
Already, Sharmila came in for sharp criticism from YSR fans when she gave a full-page jacket advertisement to only Andhra Jyothy when she launched her political party in July.
“Till such a time, a large section of Reddy community and Christian community were supporting Sharmila. After that, they quietly backed out from her,” he said.
Sharmila’s decision to feature in Radhakrishna’s programme reminds people of an interview given by media baron and Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao’s younger son Ch Suman to the rival media house Sakshi, owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy, a political rival of pro-TDP Ramoji Rao.
The interview exposed the differences within Ramoji family. Similarly, Sharmila’s interaction with Radhakrishna will be an indication to her serious differences with Jagan Mohan Reddy!
