Ever since she launched a new regional outfit -- YSR Telangana Party early this month, party president Y S Sharmila has been focussing on the unemployment issue in the state as part of her strategy to reach out to the students and unemployed youth.
She has been calling on the families of the unemployed youth who had committed suicide due to non-filling up of government jobs by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government in the last six years.
Sharmila has been effectively using the social media to take a dig at the TRS government for failing to fill up the government jobs. She cited the same reason for not fielding the candidate in the ensuing Huzurabad by-elections.
On Saturday, Sharmila took up the same issue, while greeting TRS working president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K T Rama Rao, state minister for IT and industries, on his 45th birthday.
While KTR was flooded with greetings from the party leaders, VIPs and other celebrities in various forms, Sharmila took to Twitter to greet the young leader with a message along with a video as an attachment.
“My greetings to KCR’s son KTR on his birthday. I pray the god to give you long, healthy life, along with a kind heart to prevent suicides of the unemployed, commitment to fill up 1.90 lakh vacancies in the government in the state, sincerity to provide employment to 54 lakh unemployed youth and strong fill to extend total fee reimbursement to the poor students,” Sharmila tweeted.
She also said she was attaching a video as a gift to remind you of your responsibility.
The video was that of an engineering student Lavanya of Wanaparthy town in Telangana, who narrated her woes before committing suicide.
Apparently, Sharmila wanted to remind that it was not the time for KTR to celebrate his birthday at a time when the unemployment issue was plaguing the state and that it was the time to fulfil the aspirations of the youth to fill up the job vacancies.
