Nearly three weeks after the launch of her new regional outfit in the name of YSR Telangana party, Y S Sharmila, daughter of former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, announced the party committees at state-level and parliamentary constituency-level in Telangana.
None of these committees has, however, any big leaders worth mentioning, except a few like Konda Raghava Reddy, Indira Shobhan and folk singer Epuri Somanna, who have been in the news with their statements and appearances in the television channels.
Yet, all the committees are packed with various leaders.
For instance, as many as 12 leaders were appointed as spokespersons of the YSRTP, as against two or three spokespersons for any major political party.
Here again, Konda Raghava Reddy has been appointed as the chief spokesperson, while Indira Shobhan and Mallanna are among the other spokespersons.
Even for the party committees for parliamentary constituencies, Sharmila appointed large number of convenors and co-convenors, ranging from a minimum of three to a maximum of nine members in each committee.
And the state executive committee of YSRTP comprises as many as 108 members, which is quite exhaustive.
However, Sharmila did not name anybody for the posts of party vice-presidents, general secretaries, joint secretaries, treasurer and other posts.
Meanwhile, senior leader of YSRTP Chevella Pratap Reddy, who has been associated with the party right from the beginning and coordinating the party activities in Mahabubnagar, resigned from the party.
He protested against the hegemony of Konda Raghava Reddy in the party.
