Even as the Nampally court was hearing the bail petition of V Ravi Prakash, former chief executive officer of popular Telugu television channel TV9, the Hyderabad police booked him in yet another case against him on Thursday.
According to reports, the police booked a case against Ravi Prakash under Section 406/66 of Information Technology Act, for allegedly creating a fake identity card in the name of Natarajan, working for I-Labs.
The police picked up Ravi Prakash from Chanchalguda jail on PT warrant and produced him before Miyapur court, which sent him to judicial remand.
It would mean Ravi Prakash would have to be in jail for another two weeks, till he gets bail.
Meanwhile, the high court imposed stay on the custody petition of the Banjara Hills police till November 2.
Following the court order, the Nampally court also deferred to November 4, the petition of the police seeking to take Ravi Prakash into custody for five days.
In the meantime, the court was to give its judgement on the bail petition of Ravi Prakash in connection with the case of siphoning off the company money to his personal account in the name of bonus.
But even before the court took any decision on his bail, the police booked another case on him and sent him to jail for some more days.
If Ravi Prakash gets bail in both the cases, the police might file yet another case against him to see that he would continue to remain in jail!
