Revanth to sack social media team head?

Revanth to sack social media team head?

If the reports doing rounds in the media circles are true, Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy is likely to sack Congress party’s social media team in-charge Manne Satish, following a goof-up in the conduct of an online poll on the Telangana Congress official handle on X.

According to these reports, Revanth has asked Satish, who is also the chairman of Telangana Technology Services, to quit as the Congress social media in-charge, as his experiment to highlight the Revanth Reddy government backfired and put the party in a tight spot.

The reports said Revanth might replace Satish with Peddapalli MP G Vamshi, who is also son of Chennur MLA G Vivek, who owns a Telugu newspaper and a news channel. Vivek is also trying for the state cabinet berth.

Another name doing rounds for the post is state legislative council chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy's son Gutta Amit, who is also chairman of Telangana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation.

What came as an embarrassment to Revanth Reddy was the attempt by Manne Satish to insult the previous BRS regime by calling it 'farmhouse governance' through an online poll on X.

As part of an attempt to showcase the "support" extended to the state government by the people, the official handle of Telangana Congress, @INCTelangana, launched an online poll asking X users which governance they preferred.

The options were "A. Farmhouse governance" and "B. Prajala Vaddaku Palana", with the Congress calling itself the people's government.

While the Congress expected that the people would vote against Farmhouse governance, surprisingly, more than 70 percent of the voters chose Option A, which means return of the BRS.

This led to heavy trolling of the Congress party on the social media, leading to an embarrassing situation to the chief minister.
