Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Wednesday strongly reacted to the comments made by newly-appointed Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy that the functioning of municipal administration minister K T Rama Rao was as worse as municipal garbage.
During his visit to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation office on Tuesday, Revanth recalled how a Shiv Sena MLA dumped garbage on the contractor for not cleaning the nalas in Maharashtra.
“We, too, want to do similar felicitation to KTR for converting Hyderabad into a garbage city. He should be made to stand waist-deep in the Musi river to understand the gravity of the situation,” he said.
Revanth went on to describe KTR’s visits to parts of the city as fashion parades in television shows.
“There is no difference between KTR’s walk on the city roads and catwalk by models in fashion shows,” he said.
On Wednesday, TRS legislator and public accounts committee chairman A Jeevan Reddy said KTR’s was not a catwalk, but Revanth Reddy’s would be definitely a jail walk in the cash-for-vote scam.
“He might to go jail anytime. He is prisoner number 1779. Before talking about KCR and KTR, he should set his own party right first. He has no right to criticise the TRS leadership,” Jeevan Reddy said.
He described Revanth as the father of iron leg.
“Whatever party he joins it will be finished. His blood changes every six months and he changes colours like a chameleon,” Reddy said
Stating that the Congress high command had chosen a mouse after digging the hill for several months, the TRS leader said nobody in the Congress party was happy with the selection of Revanth Reddy as the PCC chief.
“All these days, the people of Telangana had some respect towards Sonia Gandhi. But after Revanth’s appointment as the PCC chief, they lost respect on her completely. At least now that he has become the head of a political party, he should learn to speak in a dignified manner,” Jeevan Reddy said.
