Retired IPS vows to expose KCR's corruption!

Even as Telangana IPS officer Dr R S Praveen Kumar, who took voluntary retirement from service and entered active politics by joining Bahujan Samaj Party, has been critical of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government, another retired IPS officer V K Singh launched a tirade against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Singh, who retired from service in October last year, announced launch of Jana Seva Sangh, a non-political platform on Monday and vowed to expose the alleged corruption in the KCR government by touring all parts of the state.

Addressing a press conference, the 1987-batch IPS officer, lashed out at KCR for making Telangana a No. 1 state in the country in terms of corruption.

“The state has not achieved any progress in the last seven years of TRS rule. I will soon expose the corruption of KCR and his family very soon,” he said.

Singh, who played a major role in bringing in reforms in prison department as additional director general of jails for several years, said he would launch a campaign all over the state against the corrupt practices of the TRS government.

“I will take up Sadhbhavana Yatra on behalf of Jana Seva Sangh all over the state. This is purely a non-political movement to expose corruption in high places. In the next seven months, I will show what kind of corruption the KCR government has indulged in in the last seven years,” Singh said.

He pointed out that it was because of KCR’s corrupt rule that bureaucrats like R S Praveen Kumar had quit their service and entered politics. Many more such bureaucrats would follow the suit, he predicted.

Like Praveen Kumar, Singh, too, opted for voluntary retirement months ahead of his retirement, but was shifted from Telangana State Police Academy without being given any posting till his retirement.

Interestingly, even before his retirement, the Punjab government appointed Singh as an advisor to the Punjab government. There were speculations that he was also joining politics, but he denied the rumours.
