We often come across colonies, roads and lanes being named after prominent people, deceased leaders and sometimes chief ministers of the states. But one would hardly see the streets being named after the chief minister’s children.
Strange as it might sound, a newly laid road in Hyderabad has been named after Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K T Rama Rao, much to the surprise of the people.
The road was laid by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) between Rayadurgam and Jubilee Hills check post via Jubilee Hills HUDA Heights. It was inaugurated by KTR a week ago.
Though nobody has given any instruction to name the road, some enthusiastic official of the GHMC put up a board at the beginning, stating that it is “KTR Lane.”
The board has now gone viral in social media, receiving both appreciation and trolling. After all he is not only the chief minister’s son, but also the municipal administration minister!
