Maverick evangelist and founder-president of Praja Shanthi Party K A Paul on Friday declared that there was no need for YSR Telangana Party to take up a padayatra to bring Rajanna Rajyam in Telangana.
Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Paul strongly criticised Sharmila for taking out a padayatra in Telangana with an eye on power.
“The people of Telangana do not need a Rajanna Rajyam here, as Rajasekhar Reddy was not relevant to the state,” he said.
Paul said Sharmila’s brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also had taken out a padayatra in Andhra Pradesh and promised the people to bring Rajanna Rajyam, if YSRCP formed a government in AP.
However, Jagan had brought a cruel and dictatorial rule in AP. Sharmila, too, is following her brother’s footsteps and one wonders whether she wants to replicate her brother’s rule in Telangana, he said.
Stating that he would contest in the next general elections in Telangana, Paul said there was a lot of time for him to decide on which constituency to contest from.
