Traffic police seized the belongings of hundreds of footpath vendors near the ITC Kohenur Hotel in Hyderabad.
The vendors accused the authorities of confiscating their items without any prior notice.
However, there is irony in the situation as Kumari Aunty's food stall was left untouched.
The affected vendors argue that the government appears to be showing favoritism towards Kumari Aunty, who is running a food stall on government land.
Some suggest that the government only removed encroachments on the footpaths during this phase, while Kumari Aunty's stall is situated a little farther away from the footpath.
However, Ranganath, the HYDRA Chief, clarified that their mission is to remove all stalls and structures engaged in commercial activities within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones of lakes, as well as on encroached government land.
He confirmed that Kumari Aunty's food stall meets these criteria, as it is located within the FTL/buffer zone and on government land.
