Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no stone unturned to wrest power from Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the next year’s assembly elections in the state by going aggressively into the people.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay has been touching every section of society with his ongoing padayatra in erstwhile combined Mahabubnagar district and has been getting huge response from the people. The district had little presence of the BJP in the past.
Adding spice to Sanjay’s campaign, national BJP leaders are descending on the state one after the other.
A few days ago, Union minister of state for Jal Sakthi Prahlad Singh joined the campaign and announced that the Centre would take up the modernisation work of Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme on Tungabhadra river to help the Jogulamba Gadwal district.
On Thursday, BJP national president J P Nadda is landing in Telangana to take part in Sanjay’s padayatra to address a public meeting at Mahabubnagar town, apart from meeting the party executive committee members, MPs and MLAs and district party presidents.
On May 14, Union home minister Amit Shah would address a public meeting at Maheshwaram where Sanjay’s second phase of padayatra would conclude.
He would give a direction to the party leaders and cadres on how to go about in the next few months in exposing the failures of the TRS government.
The party national leaders are planning to announce a new programme called BJP Bharosa to give a reassurance that the Narendra Modi government would come to the rescue of Telangana people by all means.
