PCC chief A Revanth Reddy demanded the dismissal of MA&UD minister K.T. Rama Rao from the cabinet, stating that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao may not be aware of his son's 'shady deals'.
Reddy made these comments during a series of 'exposures' against the alleged 'lands scams' of the BRS government.
Reddy accused Rama Rao of actively involving himself with land sharks, causing the eco-sensitive KBR park to fall prey to their schemes.
He also demanded the construction of a major project undertaken by Mantri Mansions Pvt Ltd (MMPL) at Jubilee Hills checkpost to be stopped.
The PCC chief further explained that permission for a 5-star hotel, not exceeding 3 floors, was given in 2006 to a consortium called Jubilee Hills Landmark Projects Private Limited (JHLPL) for the development of the property, costing Rs 336 crore. JHLPL entered into a development agreement with MMPL five years later.
When the TRS came to power, a new company, RNR Developers, entered the joint venture, which is owned by Veeravenkata Rama Rao, a close associate of B. Ramalingaraju.
Reddy claimed that this is how the IT minister provided an opportunity for Ramalingaraju to invest in a project and make money.
He urged the Jubilee Hills Walkers Association to file a PIL against the massive 'illegal construction' project that was destroying the major lung space.
