Hyderabad BJP MLA T Raja Singh made sensational remarks on Thursday, targeting certain MPs and MLAs within his own party, accusing them of betraying the BJP.
In a publicly released letter, Raja Singh alleged that some BJP leaders in Telangana had been holding secret meetings with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Questioning their loyalty, he remarked, "If these BJP leaders continue such secret dealings, when will the party ever come to power in Telangana?"
Raja Singh urged the BJP national leadership to take immediate action, emphasizing that a BJP-led government was crucial for ensuring the safety of Hindus in Telangana.
According to him, the BJP must get rid of its "old baggage" to strengthen its foothold in the state. "Many people in the BJP treat the party as their personal property. Only by removing them can the party secure a bright future in Telangana," he asserted.
He also accused certain BJP leaders of maintaining ties with Congress after its recent victory in Telangana and warned that he would soon report their names to the BJP’s national leadership.
Raja Singh claimed that his concerns were shared by many senior BJP officials and party workers.
This is not the first time he has criticized the internal power struggles within the party. Previously, he had openly alleged that the Telangana BJP was controlled by a particular social group, specifically the Reddy community.
He had earlier written a letter pointing out that key BJP leadership positions, including BJP Legislature Party (BJPLP) leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and state president G. Kishan Reddy, were dominated by individuals from the same caste.
The BJP’s national leadership is reportedly reviewing Raja Singh’s statements carefully.
He recently argued that if the BJP provided adequate representation to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and minorities, it could emerge as a strong alternative to Congress and BRS in Telangana.
