Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar has his ears to the ground, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K. T. Rama Rao said, reacting to IANS-CVOTER Tracker opinion poll, which found KCR to be the top performer among the chief ministers in the country.
"He has ears to the grassroots, to the ground realities and on top of it he is a CM who has got strong humanistic approach and strong concern for poor and vulnerable sections of the society," Rama Rao told IANS on Saturday.
With 79 per cent acceptance, KCR is number one CM in terms of people's satisfaction that was largely reflected in Assembly polls and will once again be reflected in parliamentary elections, said Rama Rao, who is also son of KCR.
KTR, as Rama Rao is popularly known, said that KCR does no jugglery with words but believes in getting the basics right. "He is focused on addressing day-to-day problems of common man like water and electricity. If a CM thinks about problems of a common man it shows his concern towards poor and his sympathy for the helpless,a said the TRS leader.
He pointed out that schemes like social security pension aAasra' , financial assistance for marriage of poor girls under aKalyana Lakshmi' and aShaadi Mubarak', residential schools for minorities, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes reflect this concern and sympathy.
"People see genuineness in terms of concern and in terms of understanding of socio-economic situation of an individual from the chief minister that reflects in the positivity," said KTR.
"He launched schemes to provide drinking water connection to every household, 24-hour electricity, input assistance to farmers, insure farmers and financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh for marriage of poor girls. No party though of these for last 70 years. These are the things which make him special," said KTR.
