Is TRS president and CM KCR planning to take advantage of the unrest among the farmers against the controversial three bills on agriculture sector to prop up his image at the national level?
According to the TRS sources, the Telangana chief minister may as well come out with an action plan to lead the farmers’ agitation at the national level to emerge as a powerful force on the lines of Sharad Pawar of Nationalist Congress Party.
Since KCR has already been enjoying pro-farmer image in the country as his Rythu Bandhu scheme has become a role model for other states, it will fetch him a lot of mileage at the national level.
KCR strongly opposed the farm Bills passed by the Parliament declaring it as a conspiracy against farmers and in favour of corporates.
“A revolt is brewing against the BJP-ruled government at the Centre across the country. No government which played with the lives of farmers has ever survived their wrath,” state minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav said, adding that KCR would lead the agitation of farmers, if the situation demands.
