The people all over the country, or that matter in several parts of the world, might have been in lockdown for the last two months to prevent spread of the Coronavirus disease, but Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been under lockdown for the last six years.
This was pointed out by Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana president Bandi Sanjay at a press conference on Friday. He described KCR as a “joker CM” and a “quarantine CM.”
“He has been in virtual quarantine for six years within his palatial bungalow. He doesn’t come out even when people of the state are suffering. He comes out now and then only to tell people that he is alive,” Sanjay pointed out.
The BJP chief said KCR government had been cheating the people with false promises. While the chief minister had boasted of procuring one crore tonnes of food grains from farmers, so far only 20 tonnes had been procured.
“Every other state has been releasing agricultural bulletins, but the Telangana government has not been doing so. The farmers are forced to set fire to his grains, only because of the inefficiency of the government,” he said.
Demanding that the state government release a white paper on the devolution of central funds to the state, Sanjay said every paisa being spent by the state government on paddy procurement had come from the Centre, whether it was purchase of gunny bags or transportation of grains from farmers to markets.
“KCR is just brokering and threatening the farmers through officials,” he said.
