KCR government promotes grandson in a big way!

KCR government promotes grandson in a big way!

Not long ago, Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s grandson and state IT minister K T Rama Rao’s only son Kalvakuntla Himanshu Rao said on social media that he was not interested in politics at all.

Yet, Himanshu is considered as a VVIP by the state government officials, ministers and BRS leaders. He is a man in the news for the chief minister’s office and also the BRS.

Even for the media personnel, who are going overboard to praise KCR these days, have been competing with one another to promote Himanshu. After all, when he is the grandson of KCR, who can ignore him?

So, when Himanshu mobilised donations to the tune of Rs 90 lakh from various sources for renovating Mandal Parishad Primary School in Keshavanagar, Serlingampally, it is a big news for the entire Telangana state and the BRS lost no opportunity to make it a big event.

On Wednesday, Himanshu, who is just a Class 12 student of Oakridge International School, did everything to convey the message that he is the future leader of the BRS.

Like a politician, he visited the Keshavanagar mandal parishad school and inaugurated the renovated school building. The event was attended by state education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and top officials of the state. Incidentally, it was his birthday as well.

Himanshu collected Rs 90 lakh without much effort and used the money to develop infrastructure and provide additional facilities there.

The funds were collected by Himanshu and his batchmates under Community Action Service (CAS), an initiative of Oakridge International School, Khajaguda. He is the president of the CAS. Besides this, the collected money also includes funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Sabitha appreciated Himanshu and his team members for doing their part towards improving the society. She later detailed the multiple initiatives taken up by the State government to improve the government schools, including the prestigious initiative ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’.

Himanshu said helping fellow students gives me immense happiness.

“I hope that students of the school utilise the resources and that our initiative will bring qualitative changes in their lives,” he said.
