Indisposed KCR rushed to hospital, declared stable

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was on Friday afternoon rushed to Yashoda Hospital following complaints of pain in the left limbs and weakness.

The doctors at the hospital, who conducted a battery of tests on KCR, said he was very much stable and there was no cause of any concern.

Chief Minister’s personal physician Dr M V Rao told reporters later that the doctors had conducted normal health check-up for the chief minister and there was no need for any panic or concern.

"We do conduct regular check-ups for KCR in the month of February every year. The chief minister informed us that he had been weak for the past two days and suffering from slight pain in left arm and left leg. We have performed normal health check-ups and yet to do few more test as preventive check-up,” Rao said.

“As a part of routine check-up we have conducted CT scan and angiogram and we will decide what to do depending on the report. The chief minister is stable,” he said.

A CT scan and an MRI were also being done in addition to various diagnostic tests and all parameters were found to to be normal. The doctors advised him to stay in the hospital for 2 or 3 hours more.

KCR’s wife K Shobha, daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha, nephew and MP Joginipally Santosh and several others went to hospital along with the chief minister.
