No Chief Minister in history has received as many curses from the public "on record" as Revanth Reddy. Social media is flooded with angry outbursts from HYDRAA victims, who are openly cursing the Chief Minister without holding back. Their pain has surpassed their fear, and they are using unfiltered language to express their anger.
One Muslim woman declared she was praying for Revanth Reddy's demise, while another woman cursed him, wishing for his helicopter to crash. Numerous others have cursed that his entire family will suffer for demolishing their homes.
This has made many of the 169 newly appointed HYDRAA officials (including additional commissioners to a mini-army of constables, fire officers and engineers) are hesitant to take up their duties. Many are lobbying to avoid being deputed to HYDRAA, now seen as a Public Enemy.
A family member of one official stated, "We don't want to be part of people's curses. Even though the curses target Revanth Reddy, anyone involved in the demolitions could attract them too."
Another insider remarked, "This is not like being part of a Greyhounds operation where one might face bullets—we can handle that. But we don’t want to face the wrath of people or divine punishment, which are beyond any government or authority."
"For HYDRAA to move forward, the Chief Minister may have to appoint only atheistic, inhuman, and ruthless officials, rather than those who are God-fearing," opined an insider.
Overall, HYDRAA, once seen as a heroic force, is now regarded by the public as a villain, with outrage growing by the day.
