Hyd: Wipro announces new IT centre in Gopanpally

Leading IT giant Wipro has announced the establishment of a new IT center at Gopanpally in Hyderabad’s Financial District.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Wipro’s Executive Chairman, Rishad Premji, and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

As part of its expansion strategy, Wipro's new center is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 5,000 people, both directly and indirectly. The facility is projected to be completed within the next two to three years.

Expressing his commitment to collaboration, Rishad Premji stated, “We are eager to work with the Telangana government to promote innovation and create new opportunities,” according to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.

Meanwhile, Telangana Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu urged Wipro's leadership to support the state government’s skill development initiatives, including the Young India Skills University.
