Hyd Rain Woes: Tweets on Revanth's Future City

It is known that Revanth Reddy has plans to build Future City, a new block in Hyderabad that is going to mesmerize the world along the lines of New York.

He has ambitious plans to create something bigger than Gachibowli and the Financial District, which boomed further during the BRS rule.

All seemed well, but a single day of rain in Hyderabad resulted in huge traffic issues due to clogged drains, inundated roads, and messy administration.

The media also exposed the worst conditions of Hyderabad’s drains and poor floodwater management in several areas. A dead body was even seen floating in floodwater in a region of Hyderabad, further frightening the people.

Many people were stuck in traffic for 2-3 hours due to poor management of roads and floodwater inundation, adding to the woes. In response to all this, some netizens took to Twitter to address Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

One netizen posted, "Dear @revanth_anumula garu, I request you to concentrate on and fix the existing city before aiming for the Future City. Basics of a city, like proper storm drains, footpaths, and pothole-free roads, are missing. I always see you talking about the new city and Musi, but not about any of these missing key infrastructures"

The netizen also added some pictures and mentioned, "From the below pics, I couldn't even differentiate where the road ends and the nala starts. That is the situation of Hyderabad during rains."

So, the demand of the people is to focus on the betterment of the lives of those living in Hyderabad at present rather than focusing on Future City.
