Harish bats for Padma Reddy, creates a stir in BRS!

There are multiple contenders for tickets in BRS for every Assembly constituency in the upcoming Telangana Assembly polls scheduled for December this year.

Even BRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, along with his son and working president K.T. Rama Rao, is hesitant to declare candidates at this stage due to fears that it could lead to dissension within the party. They are concerned that those who are denied tickets may switch to either the Congress or the BJP.

However, KCR and KTR are signaling the candidature of a few incumbent MLAs during public meetings in their respective constituencies, urging voters to re-elect their MLA with a significant majority in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Reportedly, they are confirming the candidature of these sitting MLAs selectively based on their performance as indicated in survey reports.

The speculation within BRS circles is that Medak BRS sitting MLA Padma Devendedr Reddy, who is believed to be "close" to Minister Harish Rao, performed poorly in the survey reports. As a result, KCR and KTR are reportedly not inclined to give her a ticket.

Malkajgiri BRS MLA Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao's son, Mainampally Rohith, and BRS MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy are making relentless efforts to secure the Medak ticket in place of Padma.

In a surprising move, Harish Rao declared Padma's candidature on Saturday, urging the voters of Medak to elect her with a strong majority for the third consecutive time in the upcoming Assembly polls.

This development has created tremors within BRS, particularly in the camps of Rohith Reddy and Subhash Reddy, who question the authority that Harish Rao has in BRS to declare candidates.

Debate within BRS circles revolves around whether Harish declared Padma's candidature after obtaining permission from KCR and KTR or whether he acted independently to support his close associate, Padma.
