Four sitting TRS MPs to be dropped?

The reports that Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao might drop at least four to five sitting MPs for the Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 11 created disgruntlement in the party.

According to media reports, KCR is likely to deny tickets to Ponguleti Srinivasulu Reddy from Khammam, Sitaram Naik from Mahabubabad, A P Jitender Reddy from Mahbubnagar and Pasunuri Dayakar from Warangal.

While sitting MP from Chevella Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has joined the Congress party, two other MPs – Balka Suman from Peddapalli and Ch Malla Reddy from Malkajgiri will also be not contesting as MPs again, as they have become MLAs from Chennur and Medchal assembly constituencies.

So, KCR will have to find new candidates for as many as seven Lok Sabha seats. Party sources said he has already prepared the list of alternative candidates for these seats, but he has to ensure that there is no disgruntlement in the party in the selection of candidates.

It is learnt KCR has decided to talk to each and every sitting MP and explain to him as to why he is retaining him or sacking him. If any disgruntled leader wants to quit the party, KCR will bluntly tell him to get last and he will not take him back into the party.

It is learnt the Congress is waiting for such disgruntled leaders to come out so that it can offer them the party tickets for their respective constituencies.
