Senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender, who was sacked from the state cabinet following allegations of land encroachments, is keeping his followers as well as the media guessing as to what his plan of action is going to be, after he comes out of the TRS.
There are only three options before Eatala. He should join either the Congress party or the Bharatiya Janata Party. The third option is to float a new political party with like-minded leaders.
However, Eatala has been surprising everybody by meeting leaders of both the Congress party and the BJP. While he is said to be in regular touch with Pradesh Congress Committee working president A Revanth Reddy to share his plans, he also met Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at his residence on Tuesday evening.
This led to the speculation that Eatala might join the Congress party sooner or later, because he feels it is a better option. But he has not disclosed what exactly transpired between him and Bhatti; and the only talk was that Bhatti has invited him into the Congress.
But on Wednesday morning, Eatala had a meeting with former PCC president and TRS Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas, who has also been discarded by the TRS. Both of them had more than one-and-a-half hours of discussions on the future course of action.
Surprisingly, Eatala also had a separate meeting with Srinivas’ son and BJP MP from Nizamabad Dharmapuri Aravind to discuss the future political strategies. This led to the talk that Eatala is also considering the BJP as an option to sustain his political career.
Yet, Eatala has not disclosed his mind. He told reporters that he was meeting leaders of various parties to seek support for his fight for self-respect. Let us wait and see whom he would meet next.
