Death Of TDP In Telangana Is Now Official

TDP is not contesting in the 2023 Telangana elections, suggesting that the party has completely disappeared in the state.

The announcement that TDP is not contesting in this region can be called an official declaration of death of this party here.

This is the first time since the formation of TDP that it is not contesting in this area.

It is needless to say that there would be a small difference if TDP doesn't contest in Telangana; yes, it can save some funds, that's it.

Looking into the past, it would be shocking to realize that TDP won the last Telangana election only in 1999-2004 and not at any time after. So the last triumph of this party in the Telangana region is only in 1999.

So, at the end of TDP's day in Telangana region, what is left now? Nothing but NTR Bhavan in Jubilee Hills.

To understand the history of this office building, we need to delve into the past. A plot was allocated opposite Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Park for Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Shopping Complex, but Chandrababu hijacked it and got it allocated for the TDP office.

Though it was officially mentioned that the building is dedicated as a memorial for NTR and a museum of his great deeds during his rule, it has essentially been TDP's office for decades.

In Telangana, there is no TDP now, but we can see the inactive TDP office opposite KBR Park. This has remained as a gathering place for some old TDP leaders and party members.

In the 2018 election, there was propaganda by yellow media that a TDP-Congress alliance was going to come to power, but everything turned upside down.

The party could only win two seats, causing considerable embarrassment. Apart from that, out of 150 divisions in Greater Hyderabad, only one corporator could win from TDP, which was quite shameful.

Even before that, in the 2014 election of combined AP, TDP could only secure 10 seats in the Telangana region, which is insignificant.

So by all means, TDP never had any significance in Telangana or Hyderabad and among its voters. Now it's completely buried.

The irony is, despite this poor history in the Telangana region, CBN still boasts that he had built Hyderabad. If he had truly done so, why didn't the voters recognize it?

That's the phenomenon of Goebbels' propaganda.
