Culture-Shock: Co-Living Hostel Business In Hyderabad

Hyderabad is witnessing an alarming trend with the rapid emergence of co-living PG hostels, which are reportedly fostering a toxic environment.

These hostels, which promise freedom and flexibility, are being accused of promoting unethical practices. Shockingly, some hostel owners openly advertise that couples can share a room, while others go to the extent of offering to "arrange a girl" for their male residents.

What’s more disturbing is the claim made by certain hostel owners that they operate with the tacit support of the police, raising serious concerns about law enforcement's role in this scenario.

One hostel owner even revealed that police officers visit these places, take whatever they want, and leave without conducting any raids. The real shocker? These hostels have been operating for years without any issues.

Authorities must step in to regulate these establishments and check for any illegal activities, and ensure that such practices are curbed to protect the moral fabric and safety of Hyderabad's youth.
