It looks like senior Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy is desperate to join the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi like most of the MLAs in the Congress party.
This was evident from the way Jagga Reddy lavished praises on TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, he welcomed the decision of KCR to ensure payment of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for every crop raised by farmers in the state.
“If KCR can implement his promise within a year all over the state, I will construct a temple for him in Sangareddy and worship him,” he said.
May be, he is sending feelers to the TRS president that he is also ready to join the ruling party. In fact, right from the day one of his election, Jagga Reddy has been making positive statements for KCR and appreciating his decisions at every platform.
However, he could not gain entry into the TRS like other MLAs, as it is learnt the local TRS leaders are strongly resisting him. Even KCR does not have good opinion about Jagga Reddy.
So, to be on the safe side, the Sangareddy MLA is also making positive statements for the Congress. He said apart from KCR, he would also construct temples for Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who had granted separate Telangana.
Jagga Reddy expressed confidence that Congress will win the elections at Nalgonda, Bhuvanagiri, Malkajgiri, Khammam and Chevella.
