Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, more popularly known as "Chinna Jeeyar Swamy" appears to be emerging as the "Super CM" of Telangana.
While KCR is already the 'powerful CM' of Telangana, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, known to be KCR's guru and philosophical adviser to KCR, for the past 30 years, is being emerging as "super CM".
A classic example to prove this point is employees of revenue department visiting Swamiji ashram in Shamshabad on Saturday and requesting him to persuade KCR not to abolish revenue department, as being announced by KCR in the recent meetings.
In the recent election meetings and also official meetings, KCR expressed his severe anger at the revenue department terming it corrupt and revenue staff fleecing people whoever approach them for any work like land registrations, mutations etc.
KCR announced that he will soon bring new Revenue Act to abolish revenue department, handover the revenue job to a new institution and also change the nomenclature of 'district collector' to 'district administrative officer'.
Revenue employees were shocked over this and tried to meet KCR to pacify him and request him not to abolish revenue department, which has a history of hundreds of years.
But they could not get KCR's appointment. Then they explored other options to 'influence' KCR and make him change his decision.
Finally, after deliberating for days, revenue staff finally reached a conclusion that only Chinna Jeeyar Swamy has the power in Telangana to influence KCR.
They immediately rushed to Swamiji's ashram in Shamshabad and expressed their plight. The Swaimiji gave a patient hearing and assured them that he will take care and asked them not to worry.
He promised them that he will speak to KCR and make him change his mind on abolishing revenue department.
Normally, employees approach CM, ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary, top revenue officials to resolve their demands. But in this case, they approached Swamiji with a belief that no one else on this earth can convince KCR except Swamiji.
It may be recalled that KCR got Pragathi Bhavan and even his CM chair inaugurated by Chinna Jeeyar Swamy in November 2016, which created a furore.
This is because Pragathi Bhavan and CM's chair is not the personal property of KCR but belongs to government.
This incident proved Swamiji's clout at KCR and slowly Telangana people too seem to be realising that it's better to approach Swamiji to resolve their issues as it will be difficult to meet KCR and convince him.
