Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy on Thursday said the Central government was aware of the presence of Rohingyas and also Pakistanis staying illegally in Hyderabad and it would appropriate action in future.
Kishan Reddy told reporters that the Centre was gathering information about Rohingyas staying in different parts of the country including Hyderabad, and State governments would be informed about the future course of action once the Centre takes a decision.
“There are Rohingyas in Hyderabad and the State government in a written statement confirmed it. The Home Ministry has been seeking information from some parts of the country and is analysing information,” he said.
The Centre, he said, will take a decision on the future course of action to be taken by State governments at an appropriate time.
“The Centre is also aware of the presence of Pakistanis in Hyderabad who have overstayed their visa,” he added
On Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s statement that the Telangana government had credible information about certain forces trying to foment communal violence in the State, Kishan Reddy said KCR should explain from where he got that information.
“The chief minister can’t just blame it on the opposition without justifying his comments. He can’t use that information for political gains,” he said.
