Prior to the Huzurabad by-poll, TRS MLA Guvvala Balraju was known only in his constituency Acchampet, but now, the entire State of Telangana knows him. Why?
In order to impress his boss KCR, Gavvala Raju had challenged that he would resign as MLA if TRS lost in Huzurabad.
Immediately after the result, a person called Balraju and reminded him of his challenge.
Balraju’s response to the caller was, “Babu, phone pettayyi (please hang up).”
After that, unable to bear the plethora of phone calls, he switched off his mobile. Some Dalits from Achampet also trolled him asking Balraju to resign.
“If you resign, then there will be a by-poll and Acchampet will also get Dalit Bandu,” they said.
Balraju finally dared to enter society again when he participated in a debate on a television show.
“Yes, I did challenge but nobody responded, yet, I am willing to resign and contest again from my constituency if someone from the BJP or Congress takes up my challenge,” said Balraju.
Well, what can we say? Balraju is indeed a qualified politician.
