On Tuesday, the police reported three incidents of suicide involving tech professionals in the city.
In the first incident, Vishnu Vardhan, a 43-year-old techie from Guntur, allegedly took his own life at his residence in My Home Bhooja. He had recently relocated to Hyderabad, working in the software sector in Australia.
Vishnu Vardhan had been living alone in his flat for the past four months. When a friend was unable to reach him, they went to his apartment. Upon receiving no response, they broke open the door, only to find Vishnu Vardhan's lifeless body. No suicide note was discovered.
In a separate case in Asifnagar, 26-year-old software engineer N. Venkata Sai died by suicide at his rented apartment in Century Apartments. He was alone at home as his sister, N. Ramya, a first-year BTech student who usually lived with him, had gone to her native place in Nalgonda district for the Dasara festival.
Upon her return, Ramya attempted to contact her brother but received no response. Worried, she called his friends, who broke into Venkata Sai’s apartment and discovered his lifeless body.
In the third incident, 26-year-old software engineer I. Gandam took his own life in his hostel room in Gowlidoddi after his friends had gone to sleep. The hostel management alerted the police, who then informed Gandam’s parents in Krishna district.
Although no suicide note was found, police suspect it might be related to a failed romantic relationship.
