The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of 15 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, out of 17 seats. Ten of these candidates are defectors from other parties, sidelining genuine BJP leaders.
On Wednesday, the BJP revealed six candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, adding to the nine announced last Saturday, totaling 15 candidates. Candidates for Khammam and Warangal constituencies are yet to be announced.
The newly announced candidates include D K Aruna for Mahabubnagar, M Raghunandan Rao for Medak, Godam Nagesh for Adilabad, Gomasa Srinivas for Peddapalli, Prof Ajmeera Seetharam Naik for Mahabubabad, and Sanampudi Saidi Reddy for Nalgonda.
In the first list, Eatala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay, Dharmapuri Arvind, G Kishan Reddy, B B Patil, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Bura Narsaiah Goud, and P Bharat were announced as candidates.
Except for a few, most of the candidates have defected from other parties in the past four to five years, with some switching allegiance very recently.
The party is reportedly seeking defectors to field in Khammam and Warangal as well.
