The Telangana Congress party will release its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections on November 1.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy told media after the manifesto committee meeting that the party would also release the first list of candidates on the same day.
The PCC has decided to include several welfare schemes for ex-servicemen in the manifesto. He promised that the Congress, if voted to power in the state, would allot housing plots and five acres of agricultural land to every former Indian soldier from the state.
Reddy also promised that the Congress would construct colonies for soldiers across Telangana, give Rs 5 lakh loan with zero interest and provide 2 per cent reservations for them in government jobs.
The Congress government would also increase the honorarium of gallantry awards being paid to the soldiers.
He said the Congress would extend financial support injured soldiers and allocate a government job in case of death.
