The netizens on social media write something that comes to their mind while praising or criticizing anyone. But the politicians and the heads of parties in particular should make their stand clear while doing that.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu wanted to praise Narendra Modi on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. In the process he compared Modi to Jawaharlal Nehru and PV Narasimha Rao. Is that making any sense? Will Modi of BJP be happy with those comparisons?
In the first place BJP is anti Congress. The party avoided the pictures of Jawaharlal Nehru on the banners of Independence Day for political reasons. Already the Congress criticized BJP for replacing Nehru's picture with Veer Savarkar on their banners.
At this juncture, how can Naidu take Nehru's name while praising Modi? If at all he needs someone to compare with, he may take the name of Sardar Patel.
Moreover TDP is the party that was born with the spirit of anti Congress. Chandrababu praising Nehru and PV Narasimha Rao is also something not wise. Of course he has a bad track record of joining hands with Congress after backstabbing Modi before the 2019 elections.
All in all, no one knows if Naidu is taking the help of professional speech writers while expressing himself on public domains. But his latest praise of Modi has ended up as a damp squib. Whatever he speaks, it should help him and his party constructively. Mindless praises like this bring him no fruits.
