A YSRCP Insider's View: What Weakened Our Party?

As a loyal YSRCP member, it pains me to reflect on the mistakes that have weakened our party. Decisions made by certain individuals have alienated our leaders, activists, and even the people. These missteps, coupled with wrong priorities, have diminished the faith in Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership.

The sidelining of MLAs, local leaders, and grassroots activists has been a grave error. Activists, who form the backbone of our party, have felt ignored and disrespected. Leaders like Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy enjoy power while others who worked tirelessly for YSRCP are sidelined.

The flawed politics of caste-based favoritism has further isolated loyal communities, such as the Reddys in Nellore and leaders in Guntur, East, and West Godavari. Talent, winning potential and dedication should take precedence over caste, and leaders should feel valued regardless of their background.

Jagan Mohan Reddy’s isolation from the people has also been concerning. Security concerns have often been cited as reasons to avoid interacting with the public.

But we admired Jagan who walked among the people, led padayatras, and inspired confidence. Today, it's not easy to rebuild lost trust.

If employees strike, Jagan in the position of the Chief Minister should have addressed their grievances directly. Activists needed assurance from CM, but not from mediators who dilute their voices.

As the Telugu Desam Party gains momentum with high-profile campaigns, YSRCP must introspect, correct its course, and prioritize loyalty, competence, and inclusion over appeasement. The future of the party depends on it.

Today, there is no leader or cadre member who can stop Vijayasai Reddy's walkout. Even Jagan is not making any attempts to stop him. He is still relying on iPAC people, who show him some graphs on an iPad and keep him in a fool's paradise. No one knows what they do and why they are still there surrounding him.

By continuing to rely on such a team and close coteries that have weakened the party, Jagan cannot hope to revive it. He has effectively turned a blind eye to the reality. He needs to change.
