Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday demanded sacking of the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh and imposition of President’s Rule in the state in the wake of growing attack on the Opposition parties and deterioration of law and order in the state.
A delegation of BJP’s Andhra Pradesh unit submitted a representation to Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.
BJP yuva morcha president S Vishnu Vardhan Reddy alleged that the TDP leaders and goons were attacking the BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP was making it difficult for the Opposition to operate in the state.
The BJP leaders appealed to the Governor to intervene and safeguard the human rights and law and order in the state.
They alleged that the TDP leaders were physically attacking the BJP leaders, including party president Kanna Lakshminarayana, MP, MLAs and MLCs who have been touring districts taking the failures of the State government to the people.
Reddy pointed out that during the Anantapur visit of Kanna, some TDP leaders tried to attack him and other BJP leaders besides journalists in the presence of police personnel.
Earlier, when the BJP national president Amit Shah was visiting Tirumala, his car was attacked by the miscreants and also on MLC Somu Veerraju at Rajahmundry.
He also brought to the notice of the Governor that the BJP leaders were arrested whenever the ministers were touring the districts.
The BJP leaders demanded the Governor to ensure police protection to the BJP chief K Lakshminarayana, protection to the BJP leaders while they visit districts, safeguarding the journalists, civil society groups, who are raising their voices against the irregularities by the government, forming of SC, ST Commissions as per Constitution, removal of illegal cases on the BJP leaders in the State.
