It appears Telangana health minister Etela Rajender has been sensing some sort of conspiracy against him within the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Though he had been there in the party right from the beginning, he thinks certain forces have been trying to ruin his political career, because he is not toeing their line.
Yet, he does not want to give up so easily but is trying to resist these forces. He does not want to take decisions hastily and then repent like other others but fight till the end.
That is why on Tuesday, Rajender said there are no deaths in politics, only suicides.
“Leaders do not have political future if they take a decision in a hurry and change parties for the sake of elections,” the minister said.
Though Rajender appeared to be talking about leaders changing loyalties from one party to another at the time of election if they failed to get tickets, his comments were subtly aimed at the party leaders who were getting disgusted with the domination of certain leaders in the party and were planning to jump into other parties.
He pointed out that some leaders who joined other political parties at the time of the 2018 state assembly election had approached him with requests to take them back, he said, adding that leaders who show commitment and loyalty to party would definitely get rewards in future, if not now.
