Former minister Pasupuleti Balaraju is set to quit Jana Sena, in a few hours from now. One of the senor leaders of the party, Balaraju, is not happy with the party, particularly after the elections.
Balaraju, who contested from Paderu unsuccessfully in the last elections is keeping himself away from the party affairs since then.
Balaraju, a close aide of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, is now looking at the YSR Congress for his next step. He is likely to meet the chief minister after Ugadi and join the ruling party subsequently.
Balaraju would be the second senior leader to leave Jana Sena after the elections.
It was Ravela Kishore Babu, the former minister from the TDP, who left Jana Sena immediately after the party’s debacle in the elections. He joined the BJP subsequently.
The tribal leader, Balaraju is not seen with the Jana Sena leaders, who are monitoring the arrangements for the party’s Long March to be held in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
Party senior leaders Nadendla Manohar and Thota Chandrasekhar are camping in Visakhapatnam making arrangements for the event.
Pawan Kalyan, with the support of the TDP, would be leading the long march on Sunday, as the BJP and the Left parties, including the Congress, have refused to join the rally.
