As the sun dawns in the Telugu speaking states, it heralds new guidelines and unleashes promises for the citizens. And as the same sun sets in the west, it prompts enduring friendship, brotherhood and a long-lasting commitment. With these assurances is born Andhra Telangana Friendship Council (ATFC).
As the Global citizens the idea is to transcend geographical, political and regional borders by fostering the relation between the Telugu speaking people. Inheriting these principles the Telugu community of Dallas in unison rose to the occasion and coined the term “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” yet again.
Around 200 people embarked on a mission to promote the interests of the Telugu speaking states by recalling the qualities of leadership, sacrifice, harmony and commitment.
Dr. Sridhar Korsapati speaking at the occasion vouched that Dallas is the epicenter for fostering such relations and hoped that the new council will work towards a society that is free of regional lines and caste successions. He recalled names of many community leaders who make Dallas a special place who work tirelessly to ensure the Telugu community is on the progress mode.
Pratap Bhimireddy talking to the crowd mentioned there are few organizations and people that are working behind the curtains to split the Dallas Telugu community and assured it won’t be long before these people are exposed of their misdeeds. He outlined that ATFC is not an association but a council of likeminded people determined to do good for the society.
Dr. Alla Srinivas Reddy addressing the audience reminded the personality traits of a Telugu person wiz. leadership, untiring service to mankind and harmony and felt confident that ATFC will shine with the principles outlined during the inaugural meeting.
Rao Kalvala said the council will be a great platform for people who have passion towards community service and opined the launch of such a council in Dallas is indeed a welcome gesture.
Sandhya Gavva of ATA felt there are many capable leaders in Dallas such a council will help in further nourishing more leaders for the society.
Ajay Reddy said the council will induct fresh ideas and positive energy and felt poised looking at the zeal with which people turned up to the meeting.
Dr. Pavan Pamadurthi expressed working in a likeminded environment will fetch more results and provide more avenues for people who are in need.
Krishna Koduru hoped the new council will undertake many welfare activities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Ramana Kristapati felt ATFC is first of its kind council with a motto to do good for the Telugu speaking states. Other speakers included Pramod Prodduturi of DATA, Rajesh Adusumalli of TANA, Sharada Singireddy of TPAD, Vijay Pitta of TDF, Srinivas Reddy Gurram of TEA.
The meeting was attended by Vikram Jangam, NMS Reddy, Mahesh Adibhatla, Srikanth Polavarapu, Chalapathi Rao Kondrakunta, KC Chekuri, Venkat Valleti, Ajay Govada, Sharath Reddy Yerram, Venu Pavuluri, Madhu Mallu, Madhu Kolachina, Dr. Narsimha Reddy Urimindi, Subbu Jonnalagadda, Venkat Narpala, Srinivas Veeravelli, Subbu Damireddy, Praveen Billa, Padmashree Thota, Sridhar Kumbala, Satish Bommineni, Bhaskar Gandikota, Jagadish, Anil, Anil Veerapaneni, Raj Gondhi, Rajendar Todigala, Mahendar Kamireddy, Sateesh Punnam, Venkat Mulukutla, Krishna Puttaparthi, Manohar Nimmagadda among many others.
