Weaker Rupee Benefits Companies Like Infosys?

Veteran investor Mark Mobius sees India as a strong investment hub due to its growth, reforms, and China’s declining favor under Trump 2.0.

He highlights that a weaker rupee benefits export-oriented companies like Infosys, making them more competitive globally. Many Indian firms earning in US dollars are expected to thrive.

Mobius predicts the rupee may weaken further to 86 by year-end, driven by a strong dollar and India’s trade deficit.

However, he remains optimistic about India’s economic potential, reforms, and high-value market opportunities.

He views India as a "natural choice" for manufacturing after China and expects reduced red tape in the US under Trump to further boost opportunities.

Mobius recommends export-driven sectors and consumption industries like housing and FMCG, citing rising per capita income and growing competitiveness against Chinese exporters. He personally aims for a 50% investment allocation in India.
