YSRCP Still Hopeful Of Samaikyandhra

Despite the UPA government speeding up the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress Party appears to believe in intensifying its campaign against the division of the state.

A delegation of the party leaders, led by the party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, will visit Delhi to mobilize support for the cause of united AP.

The YSRCP will call a general body meeting of the party in Hyderabad on November 18, after the two-day Delhi tour.

The YSRCP delegation will meet leaders of CPI and CPI (M) on Saturday. They will meet BJP leaders on Sunday and seek the party’s support for keeping the state integrated. The state leaders will also meet leaders of other parties in Delhi.

Speaking to media persons on the Delhi tour, party leader MV Mysura Reddy said that Jagan would travel to different state capitals after obtaining court permission, to meet state leaders and discus with them the dangers of bifurcation politics.

According to Mysoora, with its decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh unilaterally, the UPA government is misusing its powers through Article 3.

The YSR Congress leaders will ask national party leaders to look into the possibility of amending Article 3, to keep the federal character of the country intact.
