With KCR firmly stating that he was not going to stop 'electricity generation' at Srisailam dam, the farmers in Rayalaseema are a worried lot.
If the water level drops below 854 ft, it could ensure untold hardships to people of Rayalaseema and Chennai as well.
Against this backdrop, YSRCP MP’s YS Avinash Reddy and MLA Raghurami Reddy met the AP Irrigation Minister, Devineni Uma and requested him to ensure that the water level did not drop below 854 ft at least until the 15th of next month.
They believed that a solution could be found to the impasse by negotiating with the ‘Krishna Tribunal Board’.
At least on this issue, it is heartening to see the administration and the opposition have the same view.
