YSRC To Upset Cong In RS Polls?

YSR Congress party is all set to give a shock to the ruling Congress party in the Rajya Sabha elections from the State, notification for which was issued by the Election Commission on Tuesday.

According to sources, the YSR Congress party is planning to field its candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, as it has a sizeable number of legislators.

It will test the fate of the candidates of other parties as it has 17 legislators with it and is claiming that has got six more legislators support.

Sources said the party leadership is confident that cross voting would take place from Congress and Telugu Desam due to the prevailing situation in the state and that would see through their candidate.

At present, the Congress can win three seats and TDP two seats comfortably and in all likelihood, contest would take place for one seat.

With the entry of YSRC into the fray, the contest would become daisy and candidates of other parties have to be careful.

If YSRC manages second preference votes to its candidate, other parties’ nominees would face difficulty, sources added.
