The YSR Congress Party on Saturday demanded that all the Seemandhra MLAs opposing the State division insist on to voting on the clauses of the draft bill and reject the same once and for all.
It also called for a resolution in the Assembly to keep the State united before the conclusion of debate.
"The Telugu Desam Party leaders of Seemandhra region who were insisting on Samaikhyandhra and protesting in the House and in the BAC meetings suddenly fell silent and started debate on the Bill along with their Congress counterparts while we have only one stand of keeping the State united, unlike N Chandrababu Naidu who has been exhibiting his double standards," party deputy floor leader Shobha Nagi Reddy told reporters here on Saturday.
“We have opposed all the clauses o the Bill and we appeal to Congress and TDP leaders of Seemandhra to join us in keeping the State united as running the CWC decision on the people of the State who are against the division is not fair, she said.
Shobha said that while YSRCP Honorary President YS Vijayamma was protesting and seeking an assurance from the leader of the House that there would be voting to the Bill, members from Telangana region have protested.
But, no one from Seemandhra had supported her demand. This shows the nexus of Congress and TDP in passing the division Bill which is against the spirit of democracy as it has no consent of the Assembly, she said.
